We had contractors swap out our old shower last week. They pulled out the fixtures, only to find the new shower head was way too big for the plumbing stub-out. They spent half a morning juggling adapters and cursing metric vs. imperial. Then the glass door arrived an inch too tall. Back to the shop it went, then another day lost.

By day three, everything finally clicked. The pipes fit, the glass slid in smoothly, and we had a perfect new shower.
