👉“I’m Not Like Other Coaches” – Said Every Coach Ever

The boldest brand? Your own.

Hey Biz Starters!

Trigger Alert (but in a loving way):

This one’s for every coach who’s tired of blending in.

We’ve all been there. You scroll for five seconds and suddenly every coach is “magnetic,” “multi-passionate,” and “not like the others.”

But let’s be real—if you have to say you’re different, it’s probably not doing the job.

Ever feel like you're shouting into the void while every other coach is also shouting, “Authenticity is your superpower!” like it’s a personality type.

Welcome to the echo chamber of 2025.

The Coach Lookalike Problem.

It’s tough out there.

Everyone has a vision board, a “CEO” sweatshirt, and a podcast called Unapologetically Something. But standing out doesn’t mean louder colors or more buzzwords—it means clarity, courage, and a little creativity.

(Speaking of podcasts…check out this week’s top tool).🤗

I remember launching my first coaching offer in 2008. Until then, my consulting firm helped law firms, banks, and other corporate clients. Coaching one-on-one “individuals” is a bit different. I was so nervous about being “different” that I ended up sounding like everyone else. My tagline? “Helping you grow your business with confidence.”

Groundbreaking, right?! Uh no.

It wasn’t until I started sharing my real story—like how I once cried in a Taco Bell parking lot in Springfield, Virginia, after a failed client presentation—that people started listening. Vulnerability isn’t a trend; it’s a trust builder.

And the data backs it up. According to LinkedIn, posts showcasing personal stories have a 2x higher engagement rate than generic advice posts.

Authenticity isn’t just nice; it’s necessary. Here are 4 ways to do better:

→ Stop giving advice. Start telling stories.

→ Show your losses, not just your wins.

→ Say one honest thing a day—even if it scares you.

→ Write like you're texting a friend, not pitching a client.

In a sea of coaching clones, the real flex is being unmistakably you. So when you scroll to “The Latest from Sherry,” just know—I was holding that smile like a pro... while a hornet’s nest dropped from the roof of my porch. The scream? That came right after the photo.

The Latest from Sherry

HEY FROM MARYLAND HQ

A while back, I dreaded messaging strangers. Everyone said, “Just engage!” “Start conversations!” But every time I did, it felt forced—like showing up to a party just to hand out business cards.

I didn’t know how to talk to people without sounding pushy or weird.

Most business owners feel the same. Talking to strangers can feel awkward when you’re unsure what to say—or how to say it.

Below is a screenshot of what not to do, especially after just connecting with someone:

Once I figured out how to turn DMs into authentic conversations and relationships into leads, I saved every word that worked.

Those became The Client Magnet Script Collection—templates that help you start real conversations and get real clients. No pressure. No awkward intros. Just words that work.

A Podcast That’ll Save You from Starting Over Every Month

Most new coaches build their business like a sandcastle—looks promising until the next wave hits.

I’ve been there. One-off projects, big energy, no real foundation.

But a few shifts changed everything. I stopped chasing short-term wins and started building systems that pay me every month.

This week’s tool isn’t software—it’s a conversation.

I joined Jay Immanuel on the Your First $1K+/mo podcast to share how I turned my business into a scalable system (without burning out or building from scratch every 30 days).

Inside this 32-minute episode:

→ The simple but overlooked strategy that made my revenue repeatable

→ How I built an email list that sells while I sleep

→ The pre-launch move I use to validate offers before they’re finished

Skip the 8-hour workshops. Start here. This episode will reshape how you think about income.

Give it a listen.👇
