You may be wary of diving into unknown territory, fearing the dreaded "shiny object syndrome." But here's the kicker: trying new things isn't always about chasing after every glittery distraction.

Staying in your comfort zone feels cozy and safe. You might even find yourself saying, "I don't fall for shiny object syndrome," as a way to reassure yourself that you're not lured by every sparkly new thing that comes your way.

But let's pause and think for a moment.

Is there a chance avoiding new things might mean you’re missing out on opportunities?

When I hear someone say, “I don’t like that because I’m not into trying shiny new things.”

This says …

Maybe you’re afraid to learn.

Maybe you’re afraid to build.

Maybe you’re afraid to grow.

Or maybe you’re just afraid.
